Abstract
The invention discloses a perfluoroalkyl acyloxo biphenyl liquid crystal compound with a terminal group containing an aliphatic hydrocarbon chain, which is shown in a structural general formula, wherein Rf is CF3(CF2)nCOO-; Rh is CyH2y+z(CO)mO-; n is equal to 6 to 8; m is equal to 0 or 1; y is equal to 3 to 10; z is equal to 1 or -1; and when z is equal to -1, the aliphatic hydrocarbon chain in the Rh is an unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon chain of which the tail end is a double-bond. The structure of the perfluoroalkyl acyloxo biphenyl liquid crystal compound with the terminal group containing the aliphatic hydrocarbon chain of the invention has no chiral atoms and a simple preparation method. In the liquid crystal compound of the invention, one end of biphenylyl contains the aliphatic hydrocarbon chain, while the other end is perfluoroalkyl acyloxy; and the liquid crystal compound has no other spacer groups between a perfluorocarbon chain and a liquid crystal core, structurally has no chiral atoms and simple preparation method, displays spirally smectic C phase, and has the characteristics of wide liquid crystal phase range, high stability and the like, and wide application prospect in the field of ferroelectric liquid crystal display.
