Background technique [0002] Natural resources such as gas, oil, and water located in subterranean formations or subterranean regions are typically obtained by drilling a wellbore into the subterranean formation while circulating a drilling fluid in the wellbore. After the circulation of the drilling fluid is terminated, a string of tubing, such as casing, is run in the wellbore. Drilling fluid is then usually circulated down through the inside of the pipe and up through the annular casing, which is located between the outside of the pipe and the well wall.
