Abstract

The invention discloses a method for forming an external slide rail of a seat of an automobile, which comprises the following steps: (1) putting a workpiece which is already finished in the prior procedure and is to be processed into a special formation concave die; (2) inserting a formation mandrel into an internal cavity of the workpiece which is already finished in the prior procedure and is to be processed; (3) descending a convex die along with a slide block of a punch and punching a workpiece group which is integrally assembled by the workpiece to be processed, the formation mandrel, the concave die and the like, is placed on a support seat and is to be processed; (4) punching and forming the workpiece to be processed after positioning the convex die, wherein the punching shape of the workpiece to be processed is formed by the support of the formation mandrel and the concave die and the extrusion of the convex die; (5) pulling out the convex die; and (6) pulling out the formation mandrel and obtaining a finished product with finished processing. The invention also provides a formation mandrel, a concave die and a convex die which are used for the method. The key of the invention lies in that the formation mandrel is inserted into the workpiece to be processed, then punching processing is carried out, punching force can be completely loaded on the workpiece, and the full and accurate formation of the workpiece is ensured.
