Problems solved by technology

The former performs CRC calculation on all memory state data, which consumes a lot of processing power and time, and cannot meet the real-time requirements of SCTP protocol stack hot backup
The latter calculates the CRC for the processed message, which requires that the message processing process processed by the protocol stack in the primary entity and the standby entity is completely consistent, and the consistency of the timer delay is not only complicated to develop but also greatly reduces the efficiency of the consistency check
In addition, these two existing solutions also need to transmit a large amount of verification data between the active / standby entities, which also affects the efficiency

Embodiment Construction

[0025] In the following description of the exemplary embodiments, reference is made to the accompanying drawings, which form a part hereof, and in which are shown by way of illustrations various exemplary embodiments in which the invention may be practiced. It is to be understood that other embodiments may be utilized and structural and functional modifications may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.

[0026] Embodiments according to various aspects of the present invention are based on SCTP protocol stack hot backup, and are used to ensure data consistency in message synchronization. Figure 1 shows two examples of SCTP protocol stack hot backup architecture. As defined in IETF RFC2960, SCTP is a reliable datagram transport protocol that runs over packet networks that provide unreliable delivery, such as IP networks. The main entity 120 that performs SCTP protocol stack processing is located between the SCTP upper-layer application 110 and the l...

Abstract

The invention provides a real-time consistency check method and a correlative device for the warm backup of an SCTP protocol stack. Input data of each SCTP protocol stack processing in a main / standby entity are synchronized. A TSN-check information pair of a last payload data block of an SCTP protocol in a given couple is acquired from the main entity. A TSN-check information pair of a matched payload data block in the given couple is acquired from the standby entity, and the TSN-check information pair of the matched payload data block comprises a TSN which is same as the TSN-check information pair from the main entity. The TSN-check information pair is utilized to perform consistency check to determine whether the TSN-check information pair from the main entity and the TSN-check information pair of the matched payload data block have the same check information.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention generally relates to consistency checking in redundant backup, and specifically relates to a real-time consistency checking method and related entities, devices and systems in the hot backup process of message synchronous SCTP protocol stack. Background technique [0002] The hot backup of the protocol stack is one of the hot backups, in which the main entity and the backup entity of the protocol stack run the processing of the protocol stack at the same time. The data in the primary entity is mirrored in real-time to the standby entity so that both entities contain the same information. In this way, the standby entity can be ready to take over the protocol stack processing immediately in case of any failure by the primary entity. [0003] Mechanisms that ensure that both the primary / standby entities of the protocol stack contain the same information are also referred to as synchronization mechanisms. There are many synchronizat...
