Abstract

The invention discloses a processing method when a video server is congested, which is used for preventing message storm from being produced, and preventing accidents of the video server such as equipment halting caused by reaching processing bottleneck. The method comprises the following steps that: a video camera sends a first message to the video server; the video server analyzes an IP header from the first message when finding in a processing bottleneck state; an IP address of the video camera is acquired; the video server sends a backoff message to the video camera according to the acquired IP address; and after the video camera receives the backoff message, the video camera determines time delay duration according to a preset algorithm, and sends the first message to the video server again when the time delay duration is reached. The invention also discloses a device and a system for realizing the method.
