Abstract

The invention provides a display device, a preparation method thereof and a method for modifying the color of light beam. The display device comprises a blue light source and a display panel; one surface of the display side substrate of the display panel, facing to the blue light source, is sequentially provided with a color modifying layer, a blue filter layer and an internal polarization layer; the color modifying layer comprises a plurality of color excitation units; each color excitation unit comprises a plurality of fluorescent powder particles; only the blue light beam is allowed to pass by the blue filter layer and the non-blue light beam is absorbed by the blue filter layer. The blue light beam enters the color excitation unit through the internal polarization layer and the blue filter layer; and the blue light beam entering the color excitation unit excites the fluorescent powder particles so as to generate different color lights, wherein, part of the lights of different colors move towards the blue filter layer, namely being absorbed by the blue filter layer, so as to reduce the possibility of affecting the color presenting of other parts of the color modifying layer and reduce the effects on the optical behavior in the liquid crystal layer.
