Abstract

The method involves indicating a reaching of a preset thread length by a signal perceivable in distance by an operating personnel at each of work areas (2) of a semi-automatic open-ended spinning machine by a signaling device (17) i.e. LED-lamp, for stopping a passage of a cross-wound bobbin (22). An illuminated signal is radiated depending on the thread length of the bobbin. A flashlight signal is produced, where the flashlight signal has a cumulatively higher frequency with approximation of the thread length. A continuous light is indicated when the bobbin reaches the preset thread length. An independent claim is also included for a work area of a semi-automatic open-ended spinning machine including a signaling device.
