Abstract

The invention discloses a raw material formulation for manufacturing double layer film sulfur microcapsule. The formulation consists of sublimed sulfur, toluene diisocyanate, water, ethylenediamine, diethylene triamine, urea and formaldehyde. The formulation prepares the double layer film sulfur microcapsule through an interfacial polymerization method, wherein the core material of the microcapsule is sublimed sulfur, while the first layer of sheathing material is the interfacial polymerization product polyurea of ethylenediamine, diethylene triamine and toluene diisocyanate and the second layer of sheathing material is urea resin. The double sheathing layers have the advantages of improving compactness during wrapping the core material. Moreover, the sulfur microcapsule prepared by the formulation causes relatively less environmental pollution and has simple process, safe operation and low cost; therefore, the microcapsule can be used as a rubber vulcanizing agent.
