Abstract

The invention provides a method and a device for uploading real-time media content, and relates to a method for uploading the real-time media content in an IMS network. A content sending unit receives content uploading request message, and the content uploading request message of carries with indication message of the content uploading request message. The content sending unit builds content uploading session with a service controlling unit according to the received content uploading request message and sends real-time media content, wherein the content sending unit is a terminal of the IMS network, and the service controlling unit is a control functional entity of an application server or calling session. After receiving the content uploading request message, the content sending unit builds the content uploading session according to the indication of the content uploading request message in the received content uploading request message and processes the real-time media content upload, so as to realize the upload of the real-time media content and provide services of real-time media content provided by users, such as video surveillance and content-sharing in the IMS network.
