Abstract

The invention provides an expressway journey time prediction method. According to the speed and flow information of each driveway obtained by a detector arranged on an expressway, calculation and prediction of journey time can be realized. The expressway journey time prediction method comprises the following steps: firstly, according to the position of the detector, the expressway is divided into a plurality of sections in space; by information obtained by the detector in one section, average speed of a detected section is calculated, and the future value of speed is predicted by a neural network; a data fusion method is adopted to carry out speed fusion for the detected section, thereby obtaining the space average speed of the section; and then the journey time of the section is calculated by a space-time discrete method; journey times of all sections are calculated in turn and are added up to obtain the journey time of the entire expressway. The expressway journey time prediction method can predict the journey time of an expressway so as to guide vehicles to make reasonable use of the expressway during going out, thereby playing an important role in relieving traffic congestion in large cities.
