Abstract

The invention provides a mouse device and a method for operating the mouse device. The mouse device comprises a processing unit, a roller component and a signal output component. The roller component and the signal output component are electrically connected with the processing unit respectively. The method comprises the following steps: the roller component responses to a user to roll and outputs a first signal to the processing unit; the processing unit responses to the first signal and outputs a normal rolling signal; the signal output component responses to the operation of the user and selectively outputs a second signal to the processing unit; and the processing unit responses to the first signal and the second signal, so as to output an accelerated rolling signal.
