Embodiment Construction

[0030] An aspect of the present invention is the inventor's recognition of the problems and disadvantages of the prior art described above and described in more detail below. Based on this recognition, the features of the present invention were developed.

[0031] In the prior art, it can be said that system information is always fixed or inflexible. This fixed format enables the mobile terminal to easily detect and properly read the system information transmitted from the network.

[0032]In contrast, features of the present invention allow at least a portion of system information to be dynamically (or flexibly) changed. Appropriate indicators are included so that the mobile terminal can properly detect and read this dynamic (flexible) system information. As a result, other system information can be added as desired to support technological evolution and advancement, thereby enabling the currently used system information to be further enhanced or continue to expand.

Abstract

In a wireless mobile communications system, a method for processing paging information allows the operations of a mobile terminal to be simplified and permits efficient use of resources for the mobile terminal. The network instructs in advance, the transmission of control information, such as a particular paging message, a notification message, system information and the like, via a single indicator channel. The mobile terminal receives this single indicator channel and uses the indicator information that was transmitted via the indicator channel in order to receive the control information.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a wireless (radio) mobile communication system, in particular to a method of processing paging information that simplifies the operation of a mobile terminal and allows efficient use of the resources of the mobile terminal. Background technique [0002] To support broadband wireless (eg, WiMAX) access, there are currently different types of broadband wireless air interfaces, such as cellular 3G technologies (eg, UMTS, WCDMA, etc.), and multi-carrier-based multiple access technologies (eg, OFDMA, OFDM -TDMA, OFDM-CDMA, etc.). Frequency division multiplexing involves at least four types of subchannelization (OFDM, flash OFDM, sOFDMA, and OFDMA). [0003] Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) involves dividing a radio signal into multiple smaller sub-signals, which are then simultaneously sent to a receiver at different frequencies. OFDM refers to a form of multicarrier transmission in which all subcarriers a...
