Abstract

The invention relates to the communication technical field, in particular to a method for searching for an entry point during IMS regional registration process and a device thereof. The problem to be settled is that users can adopt a same policy searching for the entry point for registration wherever in local network or in roaming network. The method comprises the steps of determining whether a requester is a local user, judging whether a local policy has a boundary control function, changing the URI information of a requester into the URI information containing local marker, carrying out DNS inquiry according to URI of a requester to obtain the entry point. The device comprises a receiving module, an information process module, a launching module and an inquiry module. The method and device of the invention have the advantages that a user can be provided with an uniform entry point searching scheme whether the user in local network or roaming network, leading the searching for the entry point to be more convenient.
