Problems solved by technology

The disadvantages of this solution are: To realize the intercommunication between WLAN and LAN, many network devices are required, and the integration is poor: for FITAP devices, the communication must be completed on the AP, and FITAP also requires the AC to pass a special protocol such as LWAPP (LightWeightAccessPointProtocol, Lightweight Access Point Protocol) to manage, this centralized architecture management method has high requirements for AC and is not suitable for small-scale and low-cost networking requirements
For FATAP devices, although they can be networked independently, they cannot provide WLAN / LAN Layer 2 intercommunication, and can only be realized through Layer 3 routing, which results in low forwarding performance and complicated management and configuration of many independent FATAP devices, which increases the networking difficulty

Abstract

The invention discloses a method of intercommunication between WLAN and LAN, which includes the following steps: messages of WLAN format which are required to be sent to a target address outside WLAN are transformed into messages of LAN format and then are sent to the target address outside WLAN; and messages of LAN format which are required to be sent to a target address inside WLAN are transformed into messages of WLAN format and then are sent to the target address inside WLAN. The invention also discloses a router device for realizing the intercommunication between WLAN and LAN. By applying the invention, messages of WLAN format and messages of LAN format are mutually transformed, and converged communications of the accessed local area network of WLAN / LAN is reached. Besides, the difference among various protocols like IEEE802.11 / 802.3 is shielded on the link layer, and the partitioning range of a VLAN domain is expanded. Therefore, a local area network that manages and divides theWLAN / LAN with respect to the VLAN is achieved, thus causing L2-based communications to be highly efficient but with simple configuration.

Description

Method and device for intercommunication between WLAN and LAN technical field The present invention relates to the field of network technology, in particular to a method and device for intercommunication between a WLAN and a LAN. Background technique With the development of data communication technology, WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network, wireless local area network), as a wireless local area broadband access method based on the IEEE802.11 protocol, has been more and more accepted and popularized by users. Generally speaking, a typical networking mode of a WLAN local area network is shown in FIG. 1 . The network mainly includes Station (access terminal), AP (AccessPoint, access point), LANSwitch (switch), AC (AccessController, access controller) and RADIUS (RemoteAuthenticationDialInUserService, remote user dial-up authentication system) server and other equipment. According to different AP access methods, it can be divided into three types: direct access, L2 (Layer 2, l...
