no. 1 Embodiment approach example

[0120] Hereinafter, a first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a related network configuration diagram of the first embodiment. In FIG. 1 , the LAN side of the first router 112 existing in the first home 101 is connected to a communication device such as a PC 111 and a first IP telephone 114 to form a home LAN. In addition, this home LAN is connected to the first ISP 103 and the Internet 102 via the access line 106 . In addition, the second router 116 also exists in the second home 104, and the second IP telephone 117 is connected to the LAN side. The home LAN of the second home 104 is connected to the Internet 102 via the second ISP 105 .

[0121] In addition, in FIG. 1, the PC 111 in the first home 101 and the server 113 on the Internet 102 perform file forwarding 131 (hereinafter referred to as PC-server communication 131), and the first IP telephone 114 in the first home 101 An IP phone communication 132 using...

no. 2 Embodiment approach

[0269] Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Fig. 16 is a related network configuration diagram of the second embodiment. In FIG. 16, on the LAN side of the first router 112 existing in the first home 101, the PC 111 and the first IP telephone 114 are connected to form a home LAN. In addition, this home LAN is connected to the first ISP 103 and the Internet 102 via the access line 106 . In addition, a second router 116 also exists in another second home 104, and a second IP telephone 117 is connected to the LAN side thereof. The home LAN of the second home 104 is connected to the Internet 102 via the second ISP 105 .

[0270] In addition, in Fig. 16, the PC 111 in the first family 101 and the server 113 on the Internet 102 perform file forwarding 131 (hereinafter referred to as PC-server communication 131), and the first IP telephone 114 in the first family 101 An IP phone communication 132 using the Internet 10...

Abstract

It is an object of the present invention to provide a QoS controllable communication device and communication system. A device 114 such as a first IP telephone comprising a QoS control unit 121 of the present invention transmits first transmission control data to a device 111 such as a PC performing lower priority communication. The first transmission control data includes data for changing the communication path of the lower priority communication, and the PC 111 , having received the first transmission control data, performs subsequent lower priority communication through the first IP telephone or other device 114 , enabling the first QoS control unit 121 to perform priority control. Because the present invention employs widely used protocols such as ARP and ICMP, the device 111 receiving the control data does not need protocols specific to the present invention.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a communication device capable of QoS control, a storage medium, an integrated circuit and a communication system. Background technique [0002] In recent years, broadband Internet connections have been used in many workplaces and homes alike. Figure 32 shows the Internet connection configuration of representatives in the current household. The user concludes a contract with a first ISP (Internet Access Provider) 3 and installs a first router 12 purchased (or leased from the ISP) in the first home 1 . After that, a device that wants to connect to the Internet 2 such as a PC (Personal Computer) 11 is connected to the first router 12 . [0003] In this environment, when the PC 11 communicates with the server 13 published on the Internet, it passes through the first router 12, the access line 6, the first ISP 3, the Internet 2, and the like. In addition, ADSL lines (downlink: about 1 Mbps to 50 Mbps, uplink: about 512 Kbps to 5...
