The invention discloses an automatic disk cleaning method for an edge server of the Internet of Things, which comprises the following steps of: S0, setting a timed task on the edge server of the Internet of Things, and triggering once every 30 minutes; the method comprises the following steps: S1, dividing a system into different grades according to the current disk utilization rate, setting a range in a program in advance, and only cleaning files in the range; s2, different disk cleaning strategies can be triggered according to different grades, the strategies are divided into three conditions, and in the step S2, the three conditions are as follows: S2-1, the grade 1 comprises a log cleaning strategy, and logs within 7 days are reserved; s2-2, the grade 2 comprises a log cleaning strategy, logs within 3 days are reserved, meanwhile, some persistent file photos are cleaned, and files and photos of recent 2 months are reserved; and S2-3, the grade 3 comprises a data cleaning strategy of the database and relates to cleaning of historical reserved data of the database table, and the method has the advantage of being high in practicability.
