Problems solved by technology

For example, if a company in a particular industry is trying to search for a relevant technology in a generic IP deal, the search tool is often completely ill-suited to the unique context of the relevant technology, limiting the tool's effectiveness
Furthermore, if there are only a limited number of other participants in a particular segment of the group, any other participant in the particular segment of the group is not involved in the transaction at all, it may be that the participant is only encountering opportunities with direct competitors or unrelated entities

Embodiment Construction

[0024] Some example embodiments will now be described more fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which some, but not all example embodiments are shown. Indeed, the examples described and depicted herein should not be construed as limiting the scope, applicability or configuration of the present disclosure. Rather, these example embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will satisfy applicable legal requirements. Like reference numerals refer to like elements throughout. Also, as used herein, the term "or" is to be construed as a logical operator which returns true whenever one or more of its operands are true. As used herein, operable coupling shall be understood to refer to direct or indirect connections which, in either case, enable the functional interconnection of components that are operably coupled to each other. In addition, when the term "data" is used, it should be understood that data may in some cases only include data or specifi...

Abstract

An aerospace commerce exchange system may include a network, a plurality of clients operably coupled to the network, and an aerospace commerce exchange platform operably coupled to the network to provide exchange services to exchange members via respective ones of the clients. The aerospace commerce exchange platform may include an IP asset library configured to store information regarding IP assets provided by the exchange members, and a search module configured to enable searching relative to the IP assets by the exchange members. The search module may be configured to facilitate contact between a searcher and a provider relative to a particular asset stored in the IP asset library and found by the searcher using the search module.

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This application claims priority to US Application No. 16 / 114,756, filed August 28, 2018, the entire contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference in their entirety. technical field [0003] Example embodiments relate generally to technology in the aerospace community, and in particular to devices, systems, methods, and networks for facilitating transactions within the aerospace community in intellectual property (IP) and technology covered by the IP. Background technique [0004] The aerospace community consists of hundreds of suppliers and partners in industry, government and academia, creating a complex ecosystem in which access to information is often restricted by specific rules created by specific entities or partnerships. Island (silo) restrictions. Furthermore, many of the underlying technologies that underpin these separate information silos were created long before the digital and network connectivi...
