The video playing method comprises the following steps: receiving a broadcast signal transmission stream sent by a video signal transmitting end; demultiplexing the broadcast signal transmission stream to obtain a corresponding relationship between the position state and the code stream number of VR equipment, a corresponding relationship between the code stream number and the video content, and video data; determining a target code stream number corresponding to the position state according to the position state, and determining target video content corresponding to the target code stream number according to the target code stream number; and searching out the target video content from the video data and presenting the target video content. Based on a broadcasting receiving mode, the VR equipment receiving the broadcast signal transmission stream can present the same virtual scene, the common experience requirement of many audiences in a studio is met, the image operation capability of the VR equipment is also reduced, and only the target video content needs to be selected from the video data to be presented.
