Abstract

A time schedule controller is suitable for a display. The display comprises a panel; a scanning driver controlled by the time schedule controller and sequentially starting the pixels of the corresponding columns of a control panel through a plurality of scanning lines; and a data driver controlled by the time schedule controller, receiving image signals and transmitting the image signals to the pixels in the corresponding rows of the panel through a plurality of data lines. The time schedule controller includes an encoder that compresses data of an image signal using a reduced sampling method.The reduced sampling method mainly comprises the following steps: determining a dense region of gray scale distribution of an image signal; determining the weighted sum, the maximum value and the minimum value of the two pieces of data to be compressed; determining whether the weighted sum, the maximum value or the minimum value is located in the dense area or not according to a preset priority sequence; and if so, setting the value as a reduced sampling value, otherwise, determining the value closest to the dense area in the weighted sum, the maximum value and the minimum value as the reduced sampling value.
