The invention discloses a current-limiting operating mechanism of a circuit breaker. The mechanism comprises a main shaft, an opening half shaft, a lower connecting rod and a jump pin assembly. When the circuit breaker is short-circuited, the main shaft, the lower connecting rod, the jump pin assembly and the opening half shaft are linked in sequence to protect limit current of the circuit breaker. The mechanism is characterized in that the the jump pin assembly comprises a support, a jump pin plate, a first rotating shaft, a second rotating shaft and an elastic piece; the first rotating shaft penetrates through the support; the support can rotate along the first rotating shaft; a second rotating shaft is arranged on the support; the second rotating shaft penetrates through one end of thejump pin plate; and an elastic piece is arranged between the other end of a tripping plate and the support, the elastic piece enables the tripping plate to abut against the opening half shaft in theclosing state, and when the circuit breaker is short-circuited, the elastic piece pushes the tripping plate to rotate, so that the tripping plate is separated from the opening half shaft.
