The vehicle control method comprises the steps that first information is sent toan engine electronic control unit (ECU) so as to indicate the engine ECU to return second information used for representing whether a vehicle starts an engine automatic starting and stopping functionor not; whether the vehicle starts the engine automatic starting and stopping function or not is judged according to the second information, if the automatic starting and stopping function is started,whether the number of times of starting an engine by the vehicle in a preset time period is greater than a first preset number of times or not is judged; if the number of times of starting the engineby the vehicle in the preset time period is greater than the first preset number of times, third information is sent to the engine ECU so as to indicate the engine ECU to stop the automatic startingand stopping function; if the automatic starting and stopping function is not started, whether the number of parking times of the vehicle in the preset time period is less than a second preset numberof times or not is judged; and if the number of parking times of the vehicle in the preset time period is less than the second preset number of times, fourth information is sent to the engine ECU so as to indicate the engine ECU to start the automatic starting and stopping function.
