[0018] 1.1 Insect source for testing: Tea geometrids were collected from the Bolan Bay base of the Tea Institute of Hangzhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the larvae were raised in an intelligent artificial climate chamber with a temperature of (25±2)°C, a relative humidity of 60-80%, and a photoperiod of 12L: 12D, fed with fresh tea leaves. The 1-3 instar larvae after one generation were reared indoors and used for tea treatment after starvation for 3 hours.

Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of tea garden plant protection and particularly relates to application of bergamot essential oil in tea geometrid control. The invention further provides asynergistic pesticide composition comprising the bergamot essential oil and cyhalothrin, and the proportion of the bergamot essential oil and the cyhalothrin is (9-1):(1-9). The inventor intensivelystudies the activity of various essential oil to tea geometrid and the tea geometrid control effect of the composition compounded by the essential oil and the cyhalothrin. Experiment results discoverthat the bergamot essential oil and the composition thereof has a good control effect on tea geometrid. The invention provides a theoretical basis for developing the bergamot essential oil into a novel pesticide.
