Problems solved by technology

The existing lithium-ion battery fire extinguishing technology still has major deficiencies and defects: (1) It is impossible to estimate the amount of fire extinguishing agent required to extinguish the fire of a single lithium-ion battery in a certain space and volume
(2) It is difficult to solve the problem of re-ignition of lithium-ion batteries after fire extinguishing
(3) There is a lack of scientific and reasonable fire extinguishing agent screening methods, and it is impossible to extrapolate the amount of fire extinguishing agent for large-scale lithium-ion battery energy storage systems based on small-scale lithium-ion battery fire-extinguishing experiments
(4) Most of the current fire extinguishing agent screening methods are only for a certain battery or a certain type of fire extinguishing agent, and are not universal

Embodiment example 1

[0057] This example only conducts qualitative analysis for the convenience of readers, without quantitative calculation.

[0058] Fire extinguishing experiments with different masses of fire extinguishing agents were carried out with a 0.5kg mass gradient of the fire extinguishing agent, and each group of experiments was repeated once. After the experiment, the peak temperature of the long surface and bottom surface of the battery were fitted with the amount of fire extinguishing agent respectively to obtain the fitting curve of the peak temperature of the long surface of the battery-the amount of fire extinguishing agent and the fitting curve of the peak temperature of the bottom surface of the battery-the amount of fire extinguishing agent.

[0059] According to the temperature expectation value of the long surface and bottom surface of the battery after the fire extinguishing agent is released, the long surface of the single battery is found on the fitting curve of the peak ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a fire extinguishing agent using amount screening method for extinguishing a lithium ion battery fire. The method comprises a method for determining the using amount of a fireextinguishing agent for a battery fire and a method for estimating the using amount of a fire extinguishing agent in a protection area. In the case of the method for determining the using amount of the extinguishing agent for the battery fire, the amount of the fire extinguishing agent which is needed in the unit volume space to be used for extinguishing the battery fire and making the temperature of the surface of a battery reach the expected temperature after the fire is extinguished is obtained through experiments. In the case of the method for estimating the using amount of the extinguishing agent in the protection area, the using amount of the extinguishing agent for the whole protection area is extrapolated through the using amount of the extinguishing agent for the battery fire. The method for determining the using amount of the fire extinguishing agent for the battery fire comprises the steps of single battery fire extinguishing experiment, data fitting, determination of the expected using amount of the fire extinguishing agent, determination of theoretical using amount of the fire extinguishing agent for single battery fire extinguishing and the like. According to the fire extinguishing agent using amount screening method for extinguishing the lithium ion battery fire, the using amount of the fire extinguishing agent which is used for extinguishing the battery fire and making the temperature of the surface of the battery reach an expected value in a certain space volume can be screened out through the experiments, and then reference is provided for the fire-fighting design of a new energy automobile using a lithium ion battery energy storage system and the fire-fighting design of an electrochemical energy storage power station.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of safety, relates to a fire-fighting system, in particular to a method for screening the amount of fire-extinguishing agent used to save lithium-ion battery fires. Background technique [0002] In recent years, with the emergence and increasing severity of environmental problems such as the greenhouse effect and smog, new energy storage devices such as lithium-ion batteries and all-solid-state batteries have been increasingly used in new energy vehicles and smart grids. Among many new energy storage devices, lithium-ion battery technology is relatively mature, and has become the mainstream product in new energy storage devices due to its excellent characteristics such as high energy density and long cycle life. However, lithium-ion batteries still have much room for improvement in terms of unit cost, cycle life, and safety performance. Among them, the safety issue of lithium-ion batteries is particularly t...
