Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a motion estimation method and device in video encoding, electronic equipment and a storage medium. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring video frame information of the current to-be-encoded block; obtaining a candidate motion vector set according to the video frame information; determining an initial motion vector from the candidate motion vector set based on a rate distortion criterion; taking a location pointed by the initial motion vector as a starting point, performing integer vector search based on the starting point in the preset search range, thereby obtaining the optimal motion vector after the integer pixel search is accomplished; taking a location pointed by the optimal motion vector as a center point, and performing sub-pixel point search on a direct upper direction, a direct lower direction, a direct left direction and a direct right direction; determining an optimal encoding cost based on the center point and the searched sub-pixel points; and determining an optimal matching point of the current to-be-encoded block after the motion estimation according to the pixel point corresponding to the optimal encoding cost.The video encoding efficiency can be improved through the method provided by the invention.
