The method comprises at first, extracting the view data of a video set in a preset time period, based on the viewing data, determining a first heat value for each video in the video set according to a preset data dimension, then by using the real-time heat degree adjustment formula based on time decay, adjusting the first heat value to a second heat value, at that second heat value, sorting the videos in the video set, obtaining a recommended list, at last, according to that recommendation list, displaying a video in the videoset corresponding to the recommendation list. The methof of the invention adjusts the heat degree of each video by using the real-time heat degree adjustment formula based on the time decay, which can reflect the heat degree of each video at the current time more accurately, thereby improving the exposure degree of the high-quality video and recommending the high-quality video to the user more effectively.
