The compositoion is prepared from 30 g of radix pseudostellariae, 15 g of rhizoma atractylodis macrocephalae, 12 g of fructus broussonetiae, 10 g of smilax tuber, 15 g of poria cocos sclerotium, 12 g of semen cuscutae, 10 g of ground beetle, 6 g of licorice roots, 18 g of salvia miltiorrhiza roots or rhizoma and 30 g of turtle shell. The composition has the effects of invigorating spleen and protecting liver, softening the hardness, and is mainly used for treating early cirrhosis. The composition is added with 12 g of flos puerariae for the patients with alcoholic cirrhosis. The composition is addedwith 30 g of common leafflower herb for the patients with post-hepatitis cirrhosis. The composition is added with fried 10 g of manis pentadactyla scale for the patients with portal cirrhosis if the cirrhosis is serious. The composition is added with 30 g of callicarpa macrophylla for the patients with gingival bleeding.
