Abstract

The invention discloses a device for directly generating a vortex beam, belonging to the optical technical field. The device comprises a monolithic laser cavity, which is used for generating a population inversion to provide a gain of light while serving as a non-planar ring optical resonator; a magnetic field application module for generating a magnetic field passing through the laser cavity to generate a Faraday effect to provide a necessary condition for unidirectional light emission; a pumped laser module for focusing into a laser cavity coupled to the laser cavity to cause the gain mediumto generate a population inversion while optimizing the excitation of the vortex resonance laser mode of the cavity by shifting the beam position; and lens modules respectively used for focusing pumping laser and collimating the vortex laser. The invention directly realizes continuous laser with spectrum linewidth of up to 1 kHz by using a Gaussian mode distributed pumping laser and selectively exciting a vortex mode in a monolithic non-planar cavity.
