Embodiment Construction

[0040] figure 1 The shown flowchart 100 illustrates a method for setting the contrast of a multi-energy CT image representation according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. First, at step 1.1, a plurality of multispectral projection measurement data sets PMD of the patient's examination area are acquired. Next, at step 1.II, multiple multi-spectral image data sets BD are reconstructed based on the multi-spectral projection measurement data set PMD. At step 1.III, the lesion L to be inspected is identified in an automatic manner based on the multispectral image data set BD. The recognition can be achieved by means of a recognition step, which has been trained by means of a machine learning process to detect abnormalities by automated means, in this case the lesion L. At step 1.IV, the multispectral image data set is then weighted so that the contrast between the lesion L and its environment is increased compared to the uniform weighting. For example, such a l...

Abstract

The invention relates to contrast enhanced reproduction of spectral CT image data. A method is for setting a contrast of a multi-energy CT image representation. In an embodiment of the method, a plurality of multispectral image datasets (BD) of an examination region of a patient (O) are received. Furthermore, an automated identification of a structure (ST) to be examined is achieved based upon themultispectral image datasets (BD) and an automated combining of the differently weighted multispectral image datasets (BD) is accomplished such that the contrast between the structure (ST) to be examined and its environment is improved compared to a uniform weighting. Further, a multi-energy CT imaging method is described. An image setting device (30) is also described. In addition, a computed tomography system (1) is described.

Description

Technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method for setting the contrast of a multi-energy CT image representation. The invention also relates to a multi-energy CT imaging method. The invention also relates to a setting device. In addition, the present invention relates to a computer tomography system. Background technique [0002] Existing imaging technologies are often used to help generate two-dimensional image data or three-dimensional image data. Two-dimensional image data or three-dimensional image data can be used to visualize the imaged inspection object, and can also be used in other applications. [0003] Imaging technology is usually based on the detection of X-ray radiation, during which main data is generated, and the main data is called projection measurement data. For example, the projection measurement data can be acquired by means of a computer tomography system (CT system). In the CT system, the combination of the X-ray source arranged on the ...
