The method comprises the steps of: receiving and storing a to-be-programmed-chip fileby a system; starting to program after crimping completion of a target board is detected by the system; after the system detects programming success of the target board, reporting a result to a database, and continuing to program; and turning to repairing or replacing the target board after the system detects programming failure of the target board. The invention also discloses the system of automated online program programming of the embedded single-chip microcomputer. The system includes a file receiving module and a programming module. An entire process thereof does not need manual participation. An operator only needs to put the target board into a device and then wait for a programming result, the result is visual and straightforward, human factor interference is circumvented, and production efficiency is effectively improved. Only programming devices need to be added when expansion of multi-station parallel-operations is needed, an expansion fee is much lower than that of PC hosts, production efficiency is also higher at the same time, and the method and the system are widely used in the field of single-chip microcomputers.
