Abstract

The invention discloses a downburst intelligent identification and early warning method based on radar data. Firstly the optical flow field of the reflectivity factor vertical section is analyzed by using an optical flow method so as to obtain the development law of the storm core along with time; then function fitting is performed on the descending process of the top of the storm core by using the Lagrange mechanical model; and then matching identification is performed on the images of the "positive and negative velocity pairs" of the radial velocity field of the middle layer of the storm core by using the histogram and the Bhattacharyya coefficient statistical analysis method, and downburst intelligent early warning is finally realized through synthesis of judgment of a series of thresholds. With application of the method, the potential downburst can be identified in the early stage of lifting and sharp descending of the storm core and the descending rate of the storm core and the time of reaching the near surface can be estimated so that downburst intelligent identification and early warning can be realized.
