Abstract

The invention discloses a hinge device used for an engine cover, a pedestrian head protection system and a vehicle. The hinge device used for the engine cover comprises a support arm, a first connecting rod, a second connecting rod and a jacking device. The support arm is suitably connected with the engine cover. One end of the first connecting rod is suitably hinged onto a vehicle body. One end of the second connecting rod, the other end of the first connecting rod and the support arm are connected in a hinged manner. The other end of the second connecting rod is suitably connected with the vehicle body in a slidable manner. The jacking device is used for selectively hoisting the support arm. When the jacking device is triggered, the jacking device upwardly jacks the support arm. The other end of the second connecting rod moves towards the first direction in order to hoist the engine cover. When the jacking device is not triggered and the engine cover is subjected to downward pressure, the second connecting rod moves towards the second direction in order to descend the engine cover. The hinge device used for the engine cover is integrated with active protection and passive protection. Therefore, the protection effect is exerted on a head of a pedestrian. Additionally, the hinge device is simple in structure and low in production cost.
