Abstract

The invention discloses a method for improving fertility of coastal saline-alkali soil in East China by utilizing seashore paspalum, and relates to the field of ecological treatment of heavy saline-alkali land. The method utilizes salt-tolerant turfgrass and selects the seashore paspalum for high-efficiency rapid improvement of the coastal saline-alkali land; and the method comprises the followingsteps: (1) preparation of the saline-alkali soil; (2) planting of salt-tolerant turf; and (3) maintenance management. The method provided by the invention has the following advantages and positive effects: 1, the selected salt-tolerant seashore paspalum can efficiently and rapidly improve the saline-alkali land; 2, the turf is spread and planted in a rainy season of which the soil content is relatively low, so that vegetations can be quickly established, moisture evaporation of the soil can be inhibited, raising of the salt content of the soil is controlled, and the purpose of improving the soil in the saline-alkaline land is achieved; and 3, the selected seashore paspalum is a salt-tolerant herbaceous plant selected by a laboratory for a plurality of years, and suitable for the ecological recovery of the saline-alkali land, and especially facilitates stability of an ecological system of the saline-alkali land.
