Abstract

A multi-functional seat (20) for fitment to a motor vehicle (1) configurable in a normal seating position and a bulkhead configuration is disclosed. In the normal seating position a seat base (21) issubstantially horizontally arranged and a seat back (22) is arranged in an upright position. In the bulkhead configuration the seat base (21) and the seat back (22) are both substantially vertically arranged so as to extend upwards from a position close to a floor (3) of the motor vehicle (1) to a position close to a roof (2) of the motor vehicle (1). When in the bulkhead position the multi-functional seat (20) forms a barrier between a rear cargo space (6') and a front row of seats (10).
