The method includes the following steps that: the basic informationdata of a hydropower station reservoir are obtained; representative fishes are selected, a physical habitat simulation model (PHABSIM) is adopted to establish a relationship between discharged flows and ecological protection levels, an ecological flow interval corresponding to an ecological protection objective is determined; a reservoir operation chart optimization model is established on the basis of power generation benefits and ecological benefits; with reservoir runoff adopted as the input of the reservoir operation chart optimization model, a DPSA (dynamic programming with successive approximation) method is used to solve the model; and ecological limit lines are drawn, an ecological limit line and reservoir operation curve-combined reservoir operation rule is established, and a multi-objective optimization operation chart is compiled.
