The method for promotion of lactation of the puerperal rabbit comprises the following steps: (1) after a rabbit gives birth, feeding the puerperal rabbit with special feed, and after 7 days, adding a milk increasing agent into the special feed of the puerperal rabbit; (2) artificially plucking rabbit hairs around the abdominal nipples of the puerperal rabbit without napping so as to stimulate the mammary glands; (3) massaging the breasts of the puerperal rabbit with a hot towel before lactating every day, scrubbing the breasts of the puerperal rabbit with warm light salt brine after lactating every day, and massaging the breasts for 1-2 times; (4) making prevention works for mastitis of the puerperal rabbit; and (5) adopting a bisected lactation method for the puerperal rabbit which gives more than 10 new-born rabbits, namely feeding all new-born rabbits in two batches.
