Abstract

The invention relates to a home network QoS controller and a control method. The home network QoS controller comprises two RJ45 interfaces, a network analysis module and a network transmitting module, wherein the two RJ45 interfaces are respectively connected with a home-entry RJ45 network cable from a home gateway and internet service provider; the network analysis module is used for temporarily caching received flow rate in an input queue memory under the control of a CPU, identifying services according to a destination IP address used by the services or a TCP/UDP communication port, judging the priority of the services and transmitting service data with high priority to the network transmitting module; the network transmitting module is used for transmitting out the service data transmitted by the network analysis module. Through the method and the controller provided by the invention, the data is transmitted according to the priority of the services, so that during network congestion, the normal operation of the key services can be ensured.
