Embodiment Construction

[0047]In the present invention, the available RAID space is not directly provided to the application server for access, but a LUN (Logic Unit Number, Logical Unit Number) is created on it, and then the LUN is allocated to the application server to store data. For video surveillance applications, in order to improve data reliability and avoid single-point failures of LUNs, the local mirroring feature of the storage device is usually used to save data copies for the LUN on another RAID. When any RAID fails, the data flow of the LUN You can continue to access another LUN, which can ensure that the video data is written successfully. However, when saving data through local mirroring, because the data needs to be saved in two copies, that is, double disks need to be used. Therefore, compared with the previous method of directly storing data in RAID, this method has high power consumption, high cost, and low space utilization. Businesses usually have strict cost control, so this sol...

Abstract

The invention provides a data reading / writing method and apparatus for a storage device. The method comprises the steps of receiving a data writing instruction by an LUN, and obtaining a redirect-on-write identifier corresponding to a storage region where an LBA address is located according to the LBA address of to-be-written data in the data writing instruction; when the redirect-on-write identifier is 1, writing the to-b-written data in a standby space; when the redirect-on-write identifier is 0, writing the to-be-written data in an RAID where the LUN is located; when the LUN receives a hardware error message returned by the RAID, retrying writing the to-be-written data by the LUN; and when the retrying fails, setting the redirect-on-write identifier corresponding to the address of the to-be-written data to be 1 for enabling the to-be-written data to be redirected and written in the standby space. Therefore, the loss of subsequently written video data can be avoided after failure of multiple disks of the RAID.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of network storage, in particular to a method and device for reading and writing data of a storage device. Background technique [0002] The amount of video surveillance data is large, and it is usually stored in a dedicated storage device. For storage devices, video surveillance applications include: data requires real-time writing, data has a shelf life, data is written once and read multiple times, data volume is large, and the failure rate is relatively high. [0003] In order to ensure data reliability, storage devices generally use RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks, Redundant Array of Independent Disks) technology to perform redundant protection for data in hard disks. RAID is a technology that combines multiple independent physical disks in different ways to form a disk group, thereby providing higher storage performance and data reliability than a single disk. When data is written, the dat...
