Abstract

The invention provides a piece of display equipment, a multi-display system and a multi-display method, wherein an image of which the resolution satisfies system configuration can be displayed even if a universal signal source is used. A receiving unit receives a video signal output by superior equipment; a display unit displays at least one part of the image according to the video signal; a storage unit stores the resolution of the image to be displayed on the display unit; a connector can be connected to subordinate display equipment; a communication unit receives a second resolution which is taken as resolution notified by the subordinate display equipment when the subordinate display equipment is connected to the connector, and the communication unit also outputs the video signal to the subordinate display equipment; and a control unit provides a notification related to a third resolution to the superior equipment according to the first resolution and the second resolution, wherein the first resolution is the resolution of the display unit and the resolution of the image displayed in the display unit, and the resolution of the image is pre-stored in the storage unit.
