According to the recognition method provided by the invention, key sections in the highway network are dug according to the traffic flow and highway network characteristics, the key sections in the highway network can be dug out accurately and efficiently, and a problem of key section digging is solved, thereby being capable of turning into an effective means of digging key sections in the highway network in practical application, being capable of providing a reference basis for overall planning of a transportation department, and providing a support means for the highway management staff to manage the highway network efficiently.
