Embodiment 1

[0024] The crushed red-fruited-yellow quail straw, hyssopia straw, weasel straw and ghost needle grass straw were respectively applied to the cadmium-contaminated soil planted with watercress; the straw was passed through a 5mm sieve; the application rate was 300kg / mu.

Embodiment 2

[0026] The crushed red-fruited-yellow quail straw, hyssopia straw, weasel straw and ghost needle grass straw were respectively applied to the cadmium-contaminated soil planted with watercress; the straw was passed through a 5mm sieve; the application rate was 400kg / mu.

Embodiment 3

[0028] The crushed red fruit yellow quail straw, hyssopia straw, weasel straw and ghost needle grass straw were respectively applied to the cadmium-contaminated soil planted with watercress; the straw was passed through a 5mm sieve; the application rate was 350kg / mu.

Abstract

The invention provides a method for promoting watercress growth and reducing the cadmium content of stems and leaves. The method includes the following steps that smashed straw is applied into cadmium-polluted soil where watercress is planted, or the smashed straw is applied into the cadmium-polluted soil and then watercress seedlings are planted into the soil, wherein the straw is at least one of youngia erythrocarpa straw, galinsona parviflora straw, siegesbeckia straw and bidens pilosa straw. The method is capable of promoting watercress growth, increasing the biomass of watercress and the proportion of overground parts, remarkably reducing the cadmium content of the overground parts of the watercress, preventing or reducing influences of cadmium pollution on edible parts of the watercress and improving economic benefits of watercress planting.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of agricultural production, and in particular relates to a method for promoting the growth of watercress and reducing the cadmium content of stems and leaves. Background technique [0002] Due to the massive discharge of heavy metals, heavy metal pollution has seriously threatened people's health. According to the survey, about 19.4% of the cultivated land in China has heavy metals exceeding the soil environmental limit standard. The heavy metal cadmium is a non-essential element for plant growth. When cadmium enters the plant and accumulates to a certain extent, it will cause poisonous damage to the plant, affect its photosynthesis, cause protein denaturation, reduce enzyme activity, and affect the absorption of nutrients. Growth retardation, short plants, greening, decreased yield, decreased quality, etc. [0003] Watercress (Nasturtium officinale R.Br.), also known as watercress, belongs to the perennia...
