Abstract

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for controlling user data streams in an SDN (Software Defined Network) network, and a method and apparatus for assistantly controlling user data streams in an SDN (Software Defined Network) network. The method for controlling user data streams in the SDN controller in the SDN network includes the following steps that: user attribute information is obtained from a user information database through an Ss interface between the SDN controller and the user information database; and the user data streams are controlled based on the user attribute information. According to the methods and apparatuses of the invention, through the newly added interface between the SDN controller and the user information database, the SDN controller can obtain the user attribute information, and therefore, the SDN controller can control the user data streams according to the user attribute information. With the methods and apparatuses of the invention adopted, customized services can be provided for a user; flexible control strategies for the services can be realized based on user attributes, so that better user experience can be brought to the user; and the SDN controller can control the user data streams according to the user attribute information, and therefore, the utilization of network resources can be optimized, and network flexibility can be enhanced.
