Abstract

The invention discloses a starter protector for controlling a starter current limiter. The starter protector comprises a high-side switch, a first sampling circuit, a second sampling circuit, a third sampling circuit and a controller, wherein the high-side switch is used for being connected to a connection path from external control voltage to the control terminal of the starter current limiter in series, and the external control voltage is used for controlling the starter current limiter to carry out the current limiting work; the first sampling circuit, the second sampling circuit and the third sampling circuit are used for collecting the input end voltage, the output end voltage and the external control voltage of the starter current limiter correspondingly; and the input end of the controller is connected with the output ends of the first to third sampling circuits, and the output end of the controller is connected with the control end of the high-side switch so that the high-side switch can be controlled to be switched on or off. The invention further discloses an automobile starting control system. The starter protector can recognize the fault situations of the starter current limiter and a starter in the starting process and disconnect the external control voltage from the starter current limiter automatically in case of faults so that the starter can be protected.
