The feed additive for the rana nigromaculata is prepared from the following raw materials: antioxidant Chinese herbal medicine ingredients, astaxanthin and organic rare earth; and the organic rare earth is a compound of lanthanum and organic acid. The feed additive disclosed by the invention is capable of enhancing immune function, anti-stress capacity and antioxidant capacity of the rana nigromaculata, as well as promoting metabolism and improving nutrient utilization capability; moreover, the feed additive is capable of solving the problem of bluing of the skin color of the rana nigromaculata so as to retain natural state of the skin color of the rana nigromaculata, so that the economic values of the rana nigromaculata are increased. In addition, the raw materials of the feed additive disclosed by the invention basically leave no residues in the rana nigromaculata bodies, and cause no influence on meat texture of the rana nigromaculata.
