Abstract

The invention discloses an image identification-based round log counting method, in particular to a method for performing round log quantity statistics according to a multi-threshold segmentation result of an image, and belongs to the technical field of image processing. The method comprises the steps of extracting a background region from a preprocessed image firstly, then performing binarization on the preprocessed image by adopting a multi-thread segmentation method, and extracting an alternative round log region by adopting a linear segment and connected region search method; and processing the extracted alternative round log region by utilizing threshold segmentation, morphological operation and the like, finally extracting a connected region center which meets a round log condition, and performing counting. The method has low requirement on the round log shape, effectively solves the problems of non-uniform light conditions of outdoor shooting and the like, and has relatively high practicality and reliability.
