System and method for correlation of pathology reports and radiology reports

Abstract

A system for correlating patient radiology reports with patient pathology reports to track discrepancies between radiology and pathology diagnoses, the system comprising a natural language processor engine with for extracting radiology and pathology information. An association module associates the radiology information with the pathology information for a particular time period. A visual graphical user interface indicates a correlation of radiology information and pathology information in the patient history. The tracking module tracks misdiagnosed cases.
