Abstract

The invention provides a multi-metric quantity route discovery and establishment method based on AODV (Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing). According to the method, nodes in a wireless network are required to maintain the number of hops and three metric quantities: node residual energy, an energy loss rate and node density; the four metric quantities are packaged into a data structure; in a route discovery stage, the metric quantities in an RREQ (route request) and the metric quantities maintained by the nodes are compared and updated according to rules stated by the method; and further an optimum route path is discovered and established. According to the method, through introduction of the reasonable metric quantities in a route establishment stage, the problem that the service quality of the wireless network is seriously influenced due to the fact that the node energy consumption is imbalanced and information channels are congested is effectively avoided. The communication load balance and communication efficiency of links are effectively improved, the stability of the links is improved, the node energy consumption is balanced, and the service life of the wireless network is prolonged.
