Problems solved by technology

However, due to the principle and characteristics of passive mode-locked fiber lasers, the output pulse repetition frequency and pulse width of direct passive mode-locked fiber lasers generally do not have a tuning function.
Starting from the current existing technology, it is more difficult to realize the function of repetition frequency tuning more conveniently

Embodiment 1

[0038] A mode-locked fiber laser containing a cyclic fiber loop, including a linear cavity saturable absorber 1, a single-mode gain-doped fiber 2, a wavelength division multiplexer 3, a fiber coupler 5, and a second acousto-optic laser The switch 8 and the coated mirror 9 also include a pump source 4 , a fiber coupler 5 , an optical amplifier 6 and a first acousto-optic switch 7 .

[0039] The pumping source 4 is coupled with the pumping light input end of the wavelength division multiplexer 3 through an optical fiber to couple the laser light into the linear laser cavity. The pumping light wavelength of the pumping source 4 is 1550nm.

[0040] One end of the single-mode gain-doped fiber 2 is connected to the saturable absorber 1, and the other end is connected to the output end of the wavelength division multiplexer 3. The single-mode gain-doped fiber 2 generates signal laser gain under the pump laser.

Abstract

The invention discloses a locked-mode fiber laser containing a circulation fiber loop. The locked-mode fiber laser can be used for tuning repetition frequency and pulse width of a locked-mode pulse signal. The laser comprises a pumping source, a saturable absorber, a single-mode gain doped fiber, a wavelength division multiplexer, a fiber coupler, a second acousto-optical switch, a reflection device and the circulation fiber loop, wherein the saturable absorber, the single-mode gain doped fiber, the wavelength division multiplexer, the fiber coupler, the second acousto-optical switch and the reflection device sequentially form a linear cavity profile, and the circulation fiber loop is formed by the fiber coupler, a light amplifier and a first acousto-optical switch. The saturable absorber, the single-mode gain doped fiber, the pumping source and a coating film reflective mirror form a system ground-state pulse signal, the circulation fiber loop is added into a pulse signal travelling optical path by converting the states of the acousto-optical switches, and the modulation effect of the repetition frequency and the pulse width of the pulse signal is determined by the state conversion time of the acounsto-optical switches. The locked-mode fiber laser has the advantages of stable locked-mode running, tuning convenience, low cost and normal-temperature operation.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of lasers, and in particular relates to a mode-locked fiber laser with a circulating fiber loop. Background technique [0002] The mode-locked fiber laser is based on the fiber amplifier, adding a mode-locking device, a fiber coupler, and a feedback resonator. Compared with solid-state mode-locked lasers, it has the advantages of small size and simple structure; it does not require spatial alignment and repeated adjustment of the optical path; the pigtails are basically built after welding; because the mode field area in the optical fiber is small, About tens of square microns, it is easy to form a high power density, and the transmission in the optical fiber is not affected by the external environment; it is matched with optical communication devices and the price is low. [0003] There are two options for realizing the mode-locked pulse output of fiber lasers: active mode-locking technology and passive mo...
