The method comprises the following steps: operating the air conditioner for refrigerating, and carrying out room temperature PID calculation according to temperature difference between indoor environment temperature and set target temperature, so as to obtain a first frequency; detecting a heat source in a room where the air conditioner is arranged and determining the real-time distance between the heat source and the air conditioner, and determining the frequency corresponding to the real-time distance to be used as a second frequency; if the real-time distance is not smaller than set distance, selecting a relatively small value in the first frequency and the second frequency as a target frequency; if the real-time distance is smaller than the set distance, determining the target frequency according to real-time coiled pipe temperature and real-time coiled pipe target temperature; and controlling the operation of a compressor of the air conditioner according to the target frequency.
