Abstract

The invention discloses a method for detecting silkworm cocoon quality. The method comprises following steps: using a silkworm cocoon quality detection device to detect silkworm cocoon quality one by one, wherein the silkworm cocoon quality detection device comprises a machine frame which is provided with a work platform and conveying chains. The work platform is provided with a box body and all the conveying chains traverse the box body. The box body is provided with a camera, an image processor and a lamp therein. Each of the conveying chains comprises a guide rail, a support frame, a chain, barcode frames, and rollers. The detection method comprises following steps: putting a silkworm cocoon between every two rollers, and starting a power machine to make the silkworm cocoon rotate for at least 360 degrees during its stay in the box body; scanning and recording the whole process of the silkworm cocoon entering the box body with the camera and transferring the record and digital barcode information on the barcode frame to the image processor for processing. By use of the method, the quality of each silkworm cocoon can be detected.
