The invention provides a method and device for locating indoor target user equipment in an indoor base station, wherein the method comprises the following steps of: A, determining a first remote wireless unit from a plurality of remote wireless units; B, constructing an alternative base station set; C, determining whether at least two auxiliary base stations exist in the alternative base station set or not; C1, when the at least two auxiliary base stations exist, locating the target user equipment through the at least two auxiliary base stations exist and the first remote wireless unit; C2, when the at least two auxiliary base stations do not exist, setting one auxiliary user equipment located by the at least two auxiliary base stations in the alternative base station set and one remote wireless unit in the plurality of remote wireless units as a virtual base station, adding the virtual base station as an alternative base station into the alternative base station set, and implementing the step C.
